2014 - Cunningham Ecology Park Design, Ipswich, Qld
“Where healthy community begins…”
The Cunningham Ecology Park (CEP) is a response to disconnected communities and unhealthy eco-systems. The park strives to work with industry and government bodies to provide a healthy and safe area for community use. It also provides infrastructure and technologies that will assist in a healthier future for all.
The site was assumed that the present occupants, being a mining group and a waste management company, had closed and moved. Though the design was to encompass the entire site, a smaller area was chosen to detail. The Riparian Edge was a crucial element in achieving the vision of a healthier environment and the ecology park is to restore and protect the vegetation and wildlife.
