2013 - QUT / Goodwill Bridge

 

When L Block was demolished at QUT, at the Goodwill Bridge entrance, new ideas were sought to how users entered QUT grounds from Goodwill Bridge. Wayfinding was found to be an essential necessity to this design, and the connection between pedestrians and cyclists was of great concern.

 

In response to these issues, a new cycle exit and route through QUT was designed. Light blades at the entrance were included for direction for day and night use, and state-of-the-art information terminal that connects to mobile phones for mapping and event information. A direct access for students to QUT buildings via a wheelchair friendly pathway is included.
