Masterplanning provides an opportunity to  create innovative and inspirational spaces that are good for people and the environment. Design theories often applied are: Genius loci 'Spirit of a Place' and Prospect and Refuge'. Understanding how these theories work in nature lead to a well considered design,  delivering  comfort,  safety and ultimate ownership of a place.

Each design considers WSUD and CPTED initiatives and looks for ways to connect people with nature. These designs offer solutions to connectivity, DDA access over a range of topographies, and offer view lines for safety and wayfinding.

For some projects, I have had the opportunity to conduct workshops with key stakeholders, to gain valuable information about the site,  its history and what aspirations they have for its future. This data is analysed and directly informs the design outcome.
